DTN COMMENTS:  A light trade is being reported in parts of Kansas at 
$229, $2 higher than last week's weighted average, and a few deals are 
also noted in Eastern Nebraska at $356, $1 lower than last week's 
weighted average. The rest of cattle country remains rather quiet. 
Significant trade volume may be delayed until Wednesday or later.

Beef cutouts are mixed at midday (choice 359.83 -3.04, select 351.87 
+1.18) with light to moderate box movement (38.91 lds of choice cuts, 
4.72 lds of select cuts, 5.32 lds of trim, and 8.78 lds of ground). Live 
cattle futures are moderately to sharply lower at midday, off 57 to 180, 
while feeder issues are sharply lower, off 110 to 277.
